With the recent debates over copyright and intellectual property management, Creative Commons licenses have cropped up as a way for original content creators to share their pieces with the rest of the world via the web. How to buy viagra: it looks like a pioneering state library in Nebraska is sharing CC books through their website, and even printing some copies when the license allows. Here’s more from Boing Boing:

The Nebraska Library Commission has begun to include Creative Commons licensed editions of books in its catalog — so you can check out my novels in the Tor editions, or just nab a copy from the library’s site; how to buy viagra.

“About a month ago I was asked the following question: Why don’t libraries start cataloging and offering CC-licensed works? Why not, I asked myself. Why doesn’t the Commission try this. So, I spoke with others and everyone loved the idea.(At first anyway. How to buy viagra: we’ll come back to that in a moment.) The basic idea was to take electronic versions of these titles, post them on our Web server, catalog them in the OPAC, then offer them up to those that wanted them.Additionally, for some titles the license allowed for physical printing of the works so we sent those files off to the print shop to turn them into spiral-bound books to be added to the physical collection; how to buy viagra.( How to buy viagra: a few days later the print shop called back to question our right to print these works.A few pointers back to the CC Web site and the relevant licenses straightened it all out.)” Nebraska Library Commission Blog

If I’m being totally honest about my reading habits, I’m not much of a fantasy reader - i need a prescription for viagra online. Dragon, hobbit, and wizard appeal have always pretty much escaped me. However i need a prescription for viagra online, I do have a special place in my heart for fairy tales and legends. I need a prescription for viagra online: it doesn’t matter how far a story of witches, princesses, and talking-animals stretches, I’m more than willing to go along for the ride.

So even though a traditional fairy tale is tempting enough, I’m especially in to a grown up retelling. Bill Willingham’s Fables series (starting with the graphic novel collection Legends in Exile i need a prescription for viagra online, pictured above) explores the concept of Snow White, Beast, and the Big Bad Wolf living in a modern day New York after being banished from their homelands in a centuries old war against the unseen “Adversary”. I need a prescription for viagra online: the Fables have had to develop their own justice system and ways to get along in the modern world. Most of the princesses are divorced, Prince Charming is penniless, and they’re all drawn to one very gruesome murder mystery - i need a prescription for viagra online. The art in the series is pretty straightforward i need a prescription for viagra online, but the detailing is fun, and there are lots of little secrets to be discovered among the panels.

The Fables series is currently ending its nearly six year run, with the last graphic novel collection being published in May. Its spawned a successful spin off series about the small time conman Jack (of Giant and Beanstalk fame) and there are rumblings about a new spin off being announced in summer of 2008. Since 2002, its collected nearly every award a comic can win, including eleven Eisner Awards for Best New Series, Best Serialized Story, and Best Cover Art.

Fables is a great entry in to the world of serialized comics because of its myriad of literary references and appeal to fans of crime fiction, as well as those who enjoy a good fairy tale - i need a prescription for viagra online. I need a prescription for viagra online: whether you’re a seasoned comic book veteran or just looking to see what all of the fuss is all about, this is a fabulous series to check out.

Legality Of Buying Cialis Online

Since we seem to be in the habit of admiring bookcases on genre X lately, I had to share this amazing design from London. This is one of the most innovative designs I’ve ever seen - incorporating a bookcase and storage solution in to a stairwell to a lofted bedroom.

Here’s what Tim Sloane, one of the architects from London based Levitate Architects had to say about the project:

The flat occupies part of the shared top floor of an existing Victorian mansion block. Our proposal extended the flat into the unused loft space above legality of buying cialis online, creating a new bedroom level and increasing the floor area of the flat by approximately one third. We created a ’secret’ staircase legality of buying cialis online, hidden from the main reception room, to access a new loft bedroom lit by roof lights. Legality of buying cialis online: limited by space, we melded the idea of a staircase with our client’s desire for a library to form a ‘library staircase’ in which English oak stair treads and shelves are both completely lined with books. With a skylight above lighting the staircase, it becomes the perfect place to stop and browse a tome - legality of buying cialis online. The stair structure was designed as an upside down ’sedan chair’ structure (with Rodrigues Associates, Structural Engineers, London) that carries the whole weight of the stair and books back to the main structural walls of the building; legality of buying cialis online. It dangles from the upper floor thereby avoiding any complicated neighbour issues with the floors below.

According to People magazine everyone’s favorite 80’s boy band will be making a comeback soon - levitra online no prescription.Check out the NKOTB web site to catch a corny little trailer that alludes to this upcoming reunion.

I can remember distinctly sitting in my parent’s closet levitra online no prescription, talking on the phone with my best friend Stacie one day in sixth grade and breaking the news that I was no longer a NKOTB fan. Levitra online no prescription: after baffled shrieks from Stacie, I explained that I felt they were just getting way too popular and I didn’t want to be part of it.This decision was really rather randomly made and I’m still not sure why I decided that I didn’t want to be like everyone else on that day (even though secretly I still enjoyed their music and loved Jon), but I really did stop listening to them after that; levitra online no prescription. However that doesn’t mean that I’m not incredibly curious now, twenty years later, to see how this mysterious reunion pans out - levitra online no prescription.

Purchase viagra on line: jennifer already touched on the fact that we get really excited over aesthetically pleasing bookshelves here at genre X.Nikki Tranter over at PopMatters recently ruminated over the state of her bookshelves after reading an article in The Age that addresses a concern of many book collectors and avid readers out there - how will I be judged by my bookshelf?

Whenever I visit someone’s home for the first time I am usually drawn to their bookshelf early on in my visit. Purchase viagra on line: how aggressively I go about browsing it will usually depend on how comfortable I feel with the person, but I can always find something to comment on.And I must admit, I do tend to automatically make judgments about people, most often when I don’t know them very well, based on the titles that they have chosen to own - purchase viagra on line.It is so richly rewarding when I find a kinship through books and really disappointing when I cannot establish any kind of common print ground. Its simply an added bonus if the books are organized in a smart fashion.

The three of us have graciously contributed photos of our own bookshelves above. Can you match us with our bookshelves? If you want to show off your own library, please let us know where we can gaze upon it! - purchase viagra on line
